Sari Bari USA is closed for orders. Thank you for your amazing support!

Hi, I’m Mita.

For the last four years, I have been an artisan for Sari Bari. I work in ironing the products, cutting zippers, pasting and other things that support the women working on the machines. I feel so strong having this job. I work in many departments, lending support to the other women as well as managing myself. It can be tough, I sometimes wish I could also work in other areas, but I learn a lot. I learned how to be focused on my work, and how to behave well with others. I’ve been able to access support through Sari Bari. I participate in the School Support Program, by which I’m able to provide an adequate education for my children. They are going to school! Before joining Sari Bari, I was very shy. I was self-centered and quiet, and now I have become free and friendly with others. In the future, I would like to work one fixed position at Sari Bari that I will grow in. If I could tell you anything, it would be this: we have chosen this life. We have chosen the hard work it takes to have freedom and to build a new life.
