“There is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself; comfortable in her perfect imperfection. To me, that is the true essence of beauty.”
- Steve Maraboli
Sari Bari has gone through a transformation in the last year as we worked with Factory North and Brand Strategist, Daphne Eck to create a new look and feel for the brand and give the website a mini facelift. We are so excited to bring the saribari.org site and the saribari.com sites together again! Don't miss out on our new Mission page and visit the Partner page to find more ways you can be a part of creating sustainable freedom for the women of Sari Bari!
We still LOVE our historical branding and all the meaning held behind the swirling curves of the letters and signature red string. And we are excited to share how we too, are becoming new after more than 12 years with the same look and feel.
More than a year ago, Daphne Eck, our brand strategist, helped us re-frame the story with words like Modern, Bohemian, Minimalist and reflections on the women who made them like Human/e, Perfectly imperfect and Beloved.
Human/e—lovingly hand-touched, suggestive of human presence, though that’s not where our focus or gaze lands. Action, interaction, and intention are fully felt but not always fully seen.
Perfectly imperfect—lived-in, wabi-sabi —celebrating the beauty of the patches and the cracks. It’s not pristine, but it feels just right.
Beloved—treasured and beautiful; useful and strong.
Factory North is truly a team of creatives. They listened to our hopes and dreams for this rebrand and allowed us to stay true to our values while giving us a GORGEOUS modern look. We hope you love it as much as we do!
We also hope you will find our website easier to navigate, allowing you to find those must-have items that much faster!
A huge, heartfelt thank you goes out to the team at Factory North and Daphne Eck for helping us bring this vision to life and make us new!
Finally, we would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our loyal customers and donors that continue to support our mission to offer sustainable freedom to women in Kolkata.
“I want to think again of dangerous and noble things.
I want to be light and frolicsome.
I want to be improbable beautiful and afraid of nothing,
as though I had wings.”
-Mary Oliver
